Garganta de Jaranda identifies a river bathing area located in Jarandilla de la Vera, in the province of Cáceres. The surroundings contain numerous pools and natural swimming pools associated with the course of the gorge, with the Jaranda bridge as a local reference. The area appears in Extremadura's regional census of bathing areas and constitutes the only official point grouped in this listing. The site forms part of the La Vera landscape, where water runs between natural formations associated with the gorge and its traditional bathing areas.
