What it is like
Playa de Turbeiriza, also called El Cura, is a small, elongated beach of rounded stones, set between cliffs covered with meadow. It measures 30 metres long and 20 metres wide, has a mountainous backdrop and forms part of the Paisaje Protegido de la Costa Occidental, with vegetation and ZEPA and SCI designations. Strong waves and very low visitor numbers complete its isolated character. Access on foot is difficult from the N-634; Luarca appears as the port reference in the entry.
