What it is like
Playa de Quitapellejos, also known as Palomares, is a long, isolated beach of golden sand and gravel, backed by a dense forest of pine and eucalyptus trees. Its 1,400 metres of length and 30 metres of width form a lightly occupied stretch, with a traffic-free pedestrian route and cycle lane from the road. The area includes adapted infrastructure. It is reached on foot or by car via the AL-7107, with parking for more than 100 vehicles, a bus service, showers, toilets and food and drink establishments.
