Playa de Puerto Viejo (Isla de Tabarca), on Isla de Tabarca, occupies a tiny shore of golden sand, rock and gravel within a protected natural setting. Its 30 metres of length and 10 metres of width are linked to the surrounding waters of the island, declared a Mediterranean Marine Reserve because of the water quality and marine biodiversity described in the listing. The waves are usually moderate. It can be reached on foot or by boat, and the site offers toilets, food and drink outlets, diving and first aid.
