What it is like
Playa de Porto dos Botes is the smallest of the three stretches grouped by the listing with Susiños and Sureseco: it reaches 60 metres in length and 15 metres in width. The shore combines sand, boulders and white rock, with very little sand, in an isolated mountain landscape protected by the Natura 2000 Network and covered with vegetation. Strong waves and wind complete a lightly occupied setting that is more rocky than sandy. It is accessed by car from the C-550, with an interurban bus service nearby. The scarcity of sand is the practical feature to bear in mind when approaching.
