Beach at a glance
What it is like
Playa Vega, also known as Berbes, is an extensive 1,440-metre sandy beach whose landscape interest arises from the meeting of the cliffs and a complex dune system. The golden sand occupies a strip up to 78 metres wide and forms part of an area declared a Natural Monument and Site of Community Importance (SCI), with vegetation in the surroundings. Semi-urban and moderately busy, it has strong waves and windy conditions. Access is easy on foot or by car from the N-632, with more than 100 parking spaces; there is also a campsite near the beach.
