Playa San Antonio, or San Antonio de Abiña, occupies the left bank of the estuary within Reserva de la Biosfera de Urdaibai. It is a fine, golden-sand beach 190 metres long and 100 metres wide, with calm waters and a small seafront promenade. The semi-urban frontage includes vegetation and a nearby recreational area, while the source notes the possibility of canoe trips through the reserve. It is easily reached on foot or by car via the BI-635 and BI-2235 roads, with more than 100 parking spaces, an interurban bus, showers, catering and a children’s area.
