What it is like
Playa Los Monteros combines a semi-urban stretch of coast with dune formations beside the Bahía de Marbella housing development. The beach forms part of 1,300 metres of coastline and is 40 metres wide, with dark sand and vegetation, and moderate waves. This contrast between nearby development and dune landscape is its most recognisable feature. Access is on foot with some difficulty or by car from the CN-340; there are fewer than 50 parking spaces and the interurban bus is 1.5 kilometres away. Cleaning, restaurants and boat hire are available.
