Playa Las Olas occupies a stretch 250 metres long and 25 metres wide between a semi-urban landscape of mountain and cliff. The shore consists of dark gravel and its waters are usually calm, while vegetation introduces a natural element into the surroundings. It is reached by car via the N-340a and the Autovía del Mediterráneo, with fewer than 50 parking spaces. The beach underwent regeneration and retains the Club de Mar de Almería as a nearby nautical reference.
