What it is like
Playa La Puntilla is an urban beach closely associated with El Puerto de Santa María because of its proximity to the town. It stretches along the right bank of the Guadalete estuary, separated from the river by a breakwater, and is 590 metres long, 70 metres wide and covered with golden sand. The surroundings combine a riverside promenade, pine woods and a semi-urban frontage. Access is easy on foot via the Camino de los Enamorados or by following the estuary, and also by car, with parking for more than 100 spaces. There are toilets, showers, catering and adapted access.
