What it is like

Characteristics published by official sources

Playa La Higuerica is an isolated, broad beach of golden sand, situated in front of a mountainous coastal frontage and protected as a Paisaje Protegido. Its 225 metres in length and 35 metres in width allow different activities or sports, with vegetation and moderate waves. Remains of the breakwater from former esparto-grass boiling houses remain on the beach, forming part of its appearance. It is easy to reach on foot, by car or by boat via the N-332, with parking for more than 100 spaces and basic cleaning and litter-bin services.
