What it is like
Cala de las Tortugas is an isolated beach in the municipality of Águilas, in the Región de Murcia, situated in a mountainous setting. It is 100 metres long and 10 metres wide, with fine grey sand. Access is via an unpaved path and it can also be reached on foot or by car from the N-332; an interurban bus service is available. The cove has no facilities, although nearby resources include Puerto Deportivo Juan Montiel and Centro de Salud Las Majadas, 4 kilometres away. Vegetation forms part of its surroundings, and its small size defines the character of the place.
