Playa Las Gaviotas is set at the foot of a mountain, with 250 metres of dark sand and a width of 40 metres. Its semi-urban frontage and mountain surroundings form part of an area protected as habitats of Community interest and a Biosphere Reserve; nudism is also permitted. Occupancy is medium and the swell moderate. It is reached by car via the TF-121, with parking for fewer than 50 vehicles and an interurban bus connection on line 245.
