What it is like
Playa de Antequera is distinguished by its location at the foot of a mountain, which creates a highly prominent landscape. It is an isolated beach of dark sand, 400 metres long and 25 metres wide, integrated into an extensive protected area comprising Parque Rural, Biosphere Reserve and other environmental designations. Access is by boat or on foot with difficulty, so the beach retains a relatively non-urban relationship with the coast. Its water usually has strong waves and nudism is permitted.
