What it is like
Playa del Varador, also known as Varadero, is one of Mataró's large urban beaches: it is 765 metres long and reaches 118 metres in width. Its golden beach opens onto a completely urban setting and a seafront promenade, with calm waters and an especially broad configuration. It is easy to reach on foot or by car, with more than 100 parking spaces, and there are also urban, interurban and Renfe connections. For everyday use, relevant facilities include adapted toilets, an amphibious chair, assisted bathing, showers, food services and a sports area.
