What it is like
Playa del Alcalde, also called Playa de la Noria, occupies a small area opposite the Town Hall and fishing port of Candelaria. Its 30-metre length and 20-metre width are formed by sand and dark gravel, in a fully urban setting. The harbour breakwaters shelter it from the waves and create calm waters. Access is by car, with signposted parking for between 50 and 100 vehicles; it also has a seafront promenade and food services.
