Playa de la Viuda extends for 250 metres beside the urban waterfront of Candelaria, with a shore of dark sand and gravel. It is a semi-urban beach with moderate visitor numbers and calm waters, whose immediate surroundings are marked by the proximity of an industrial estate and by a landscape described as somewhat degraded. Vegetation appears in the listing, although the site has no beach infrastructure. It can be reached on foot or by car; there is also parking and an interurban transport connection.
