Playa de Poniente, also known as Playa de los Náufragos, is an urban beach of golden sand, 400 metres long and 50 metres wide. At its southern end there is a rocky area suitable for fishing, while the western breakwater of Puerto de Torrevieja lies to the north; the listing associates this breakwater with its calm waters. Access is easy on foot or by car, with parking for between 50 and 100 vehicles. It offers accessible bathing, restaurants, nautical equipment hire and a sports area.
