What it is like
Playa de Poniente, also known as Playa del Carboncillo and Playa de La Sirena Loca, is an extensive urban beach in Adra. Its 1,100 metres of length and 70 metres of width combine dark sand and gravel beside a seafront promenade, with moderate waves and windy conditions. Practical provision plays an important role: there is adapted infrastructure, shade from pergolas, toilets, showers, food establishments and sports areas. It is accessible by car from the E-15, with between 50 and 100 parking spaces and an interurban bus service.
