What it is like
Playa de L'Almadrava, also called Canyelles Grosses, offers a stretch of golden, medium-textured sand reaching 602 metres in length and 30 metres in width. Its urban coastline includes vegetation, a seafront promenade and an anchorage area, with moderate waves and windy conditions. To the north it borders the protected area of Cabo de Creus, a feature that distinguishes its immediate surroundings. It is easily reached on foot or by car along the Roses to Almadrava road, with parking for between 50 and 100 vehicles, walkways, assisted bathing, food and drink services and nautical hire.
