Beach at a glance
What it is like
Playa de Caranza is an urban artificial beach divided into two parts by a groyne, together measuring 600 metres in length and 30 metres in width. Coarse sand and sheltered waters form a seafront with a promenade and vegetation, very popular and with high occupancy. It is reached by car via Avenida do Mar, with an adapted entrance and parking for more than 100 vehicles; it also has an urban bus service. Toilets, showers, foot-washing facilities, a surfing area, litter bins and cleaning services complete its facilities.
