What it is like
Playa de O Coido is an urban beach 250 metres long and 25 metres wide, formed by sand, boulders and white rock. Its proximity to the centre of Muxía does not remove the natural element: the stretch has a seafront promenade, vegetation and protection as a Site of Community Importance (SCI), although it has strong waves. The combination of an urban frontage and rocky materials defines a medium-occupancy space beside the town’s coast. It is accessed by car, with parking for fewer than 50 spaces and an interurban bus service. Practical support includes a cleaning service and tourist office, as well as the nearby Club Náutico de Muxía.
