Playa de Os Muiños, also called Aréa Maior, is a semi-urban white-sand beach reaching 500 metres in length and 45 metres in width. Its waters are calm, although the listing emphasises the windy character of the site; vegetation accompanies the coastal frontage and use is low. Access by car has signage and parking for between 50 and 100 vehicles. Showers, foot-washing facilities, cleaning and a sports area complete the listed facilities.
