Playa de Nogales is an isolated beach of dark sand extending for 500 metres beneath the face of a cliff. The strip is narrow, only 6 metres wide, and forms part of an extensive protected complex including Site of Community Importance (SCI), Special Conservation Area, Special Protection Area for Birds, Natural Habitats of Community Interest and a Biosphere Reserve.
