What it is like
Playa de los Hierros is an isolated beach 380 metres long and 18 metres wide, lying before a mountainous frontage. Its composition of dark sand, pebbles and gravel is integrated into Parque Regional de Cabo Cope y Puntas de Calnegre, with vegetation and environmental protection. The setting has low occupancy and no notable beach facilities apart from litter bins. It can be reached on foot, by car or by boat from the RM-D20; there is parking for fewer than 50 vehicles and an interurban bus service.
