What it is like
Playa de las Playas extends for 3,500 metres in an isolated mountainous setting, with an especially narrow strip of barely 20 metres and a composition of sand, rounded stones and dark gravel. Its most recognisable feature appears at the start of the bay: Roque de la Bonanza rises vertically 200 metres above the ocean floor. Vegetation and protection as SCI/SAC, Monumento Natural and Biosphere Reserve complete the landscape. It is reached on foot or by car via the road to Las Playas, with an interurban bus.
