What it is like
Playa de las Arenas, or Cala de la Sardina, is a straight beach 882 metres long that runs along the loma del Negro to that cove. Its recorded width is 46 metres, and the semi-urban frontage combines golden sand and gravel with low cliffs and sandstone slopes. It forms part of an ecological reserve and has moderate waves, vegetation and medium visitor numbers. Access is easy on foot, with parking for between 50 and 100 vehicles and an interurban bus service; cleaning and food services are available.
