What it is like
Playa de la Arena, also known as Somorrostro, is a semi-urban beach of fine, dark sand extending for 966 metres in front of dunes and wetland. It reaches 84 metres in width and has high occupancy, on a coastline with moderate surf. The Pobeña coastal path, on the left bank, adds a landscape feature to the setting. It can be reached by car from the N-634, with parking for more than 100 vehicles; there are toilets, showers, catering, a surfing area and assisted bathing.
