What it is like
Es Caló is situated at the narrowest part of the isthmus joining Formentera’s two elevations, in a semi-urban centre near a pine grove and the sheds of artisanal fishermen. The beach is 100 metres long and 30 metres wide, with white sand and clay, high occupancy and moderate waves. The beach itself is tiny and integrated into the centre, while Ses Platgetes forms a consecutive group separated by stone slabs. It is easily reached on foot or by car, with parking for fewer than 50 vehicles and an interurban bus.
