What it is like
Playa del Desnarigado occupies a pebble cove on the southern side of Monte Hacho, beneath the mountain slopes that shelter it. Its waters are calm and the surroundings retain vegetation; on one edge and higher up stands the fortress that gives the place its name, now converted into a military museum. The beach measures 80 metres long by 15 metres wide and is semi-urban in character. It can be reached on foot or by car from the N-352, with fewer than 50 parking spaces and cleaning services and litter bins.
