What it is like
Playa del Chanquete, also known as El Dedo, is in the El Palo area and combines a family atmosphere with extensive provision. It is an urban beach of dark sand, 615 metres long and 35 metres wide, with a seafront promenade, vegetation, moderate swell and high occupancy. Access is easy on foot or by car via avenida Salvador Allende, with more than 100 parking spaces and an urban bus service; it also has adapted infrastructure. Toilets, showers, food, nautical hire, a sports area and children's games complete the facilities.
