As Fontiñas is recognised as an isolated cove set in a mountainous, vegetated environment. It measures 60 metres in length and 20 metres in width, with white sand and calm waters. Its main practical feature is the demanding access: a narrow path equipped with ropes leads down to it, although the listing classifies the route as difficult on foot. The nearest road is the one from Mera to Sada and there is an intercity bus service. The Puerto Deportivo de Sada is listed as a nearby nautical reference.
