Playa de Araugues is explicitly linked to shellfish gathering, a feature that defines its relationship with the coast of Cambados. Its 100 metres of length and 15 metres of width combine dark sand and rock along a semi-urban frontage with vegetation, calm waters and usually low occupancy. It is easily accessed on foot or by car from the CC-550, with parking for fewer than 50 spaces and an interurban connection between Vilagarcía and Cambados. The Marina de Vilagarcía is listed as a nautical reference.
