What it is like
Playa de A Xunqueira is a river beach on the Verdugo River, with an identity different from that of sea beaches. Its 200 metres of length and 30 metres of width combine dark sand with a semi-urban setting of vegetation and a mountainous frontage; occupancy is usually low and the waters calm. Access is easy on foot or by car from the CN-550, with parking for fewer than 50 spaces and interurban transport. It also has showers, toilets, a sports area and a children's playground.
