What it is like
Playa de Valieiros, also called Balieiros or Portiños, forms part of the Balieiros cove together with A Furna do Portiño. It is an isolated beach 850 metres long, with golden sand, dunes and vegetation, within an area protected as a Site of Community Importance (SCI). Its waters have strong swell and wind, although occupancy is low. Access on foot is difficult and the record notes a cleaning service, diving and a connection with Puerto Deportivo de Ribeira.
