What it is like
Playa de Valdearenas lies within Parque Natural de las Dunas de Liencres, whose dune system prompted the environmental protection of the area. It is an isolated beach of golden sand, 2,800 metres long and 50 metres wide, with a dune frontage, vegetation and medium occupancy. As it is on the open sea, it has strong swell, wind, currents and eddies, so caution when bathing forms part of its description. It is reached by car via the CA-305, with more than 100 parking spaces and an interurban bus service. There are showers, cleaning, food and a surf area.
