What it is like
Playa de Punxeo, also called El Ferreiro, is an isolated beach of rounded stones measuring 400 metres long and 20 metres wide. It lies in front of a vegetated cliff within the Paisaje Protegido de la Costa Occidental, in ZEPA and SCI areas. Low visitor numbers, strong waves and the absence of infrastructure form part of its profile. Access on foot is difficult from the N-632. The entry identifies Luarca as the port reference without adding specific visitor services.
