What it is like

Playa San Amaro lies very close to Punta Herminia and forms an urban stretch of golden sand, 105 metres long and 25 metres wide. The promenade, vegetation, calm waters and high occupancy define a beach integrated into the city. In the immediate surroundings, the anchorage for small fishing boats stands out; it is usually marked out in summer, as is the Club de Mar de San Amaro on the southern side. It is easily reached on foot or by car from Paseo Marítimo Orillamar, with parking for fewer than 50 vehicles, toilets, showers, diving and first aid.
