What it is like
Playa Samil is one of Vigo’s major tourist beaches, with 1,250 metres of length and 60 metres of width. Golden sand extends along an urban frontage accompanied by a promenade, vegetation and anchorage, with conditions ranging from moderate to strong waves. Its southern end is called playa de Foz and is located beside the right bank of the mouth of the river Lagares. It is easily reached on foot or by car, with more than 100 parking spaces, food services, sports areas, play areas and assisted bathing.
