Playa Poniente Almerimar occupies the heart of the Almerimar tourist centre with 1,950 metres of dark sand and a width of 90 metres. The urban frontage is accompanied by a seafront promenade, vegetation and an anchorage area, in a setting with high visitor numbers and moderate, windy conditions. Its practical character is reflected in the range of facilities: toilets, showers, nautical equipment hire, a sports area, a children's playground and an accessible point. It is easily reached on foot or by car via the AL-906.
