Playa La Franca occupies the mouth of the Cabra River, which divides the municipalities of Llanes and Ribadedeva. It is a semi-urban beach of fine white sand, 260 metres long and 141 metres wide, with a promenade, vegetation and protection as a Paisaje Protegido, ZEPA and Site of Community Importance (SCI). It has moderate swell and high visitor numbers. Access is easy on foot or by car via the N-634, with more than 100 parking spaces; toilets, showers and a catering service complete the visit.
