What it is like
Playa El Hornillo is a small, highly urbanised beach in Águilas, measuring 350 metres in length and barely 12 metres in width. Its golden sand and seafront promenade form an urban frontage subject to moderate waves, with high occupancy. Part of the beach remains closed to the public because of possible rockfalls, a circumstance that affects its current configuration. Access is easy on foot, by car or by boat from the N-332, although parking is limited to fewer than 50 spaces. It has toilets, foot showers and basic cleaning services.
