Playa El Carmen is an extensive urban sandy beach beside Barbate’s fishing and sporting port. Its 1,600-metre length and 90-metre width are integrated into the town centre through the seafront promenade, with golden sand and waters usually experiencing moderate swell and wind. The beach offers bathing services, catering, nautical activities, sports, children’s games, surfing and diving. It is easily reached on foot or by car via the A-314, with between 50 and 100 parking spaces and an urban bus.
