Playa del Ris extends for 2,200 metres as a large urban beach of golden sand, situated in a protected marshland setting. Its 100-metre width and urban frontage provide a broad beach with vegetation, moderate waves and wind, within the Marismas de Santoña, Victoria y Joyel ZEC and ZEPA. Attendance is high. Access is easy on foot or by car via the CA-151, with more than 100 parking spaces, an interurban bus, showers, toilets and nautical hire services.
