Playa de La Nova Icària forms part of Barcelona's urban coastline beside the Olympic Port and is separated from the adjoining beaches by small breakwaters. The promenade links it with Barceloneta, while its 625 metres in length and 63 metres in width provide a beach of coarse golden sand, calm waters and high occupancy. It is easily reached on foot or by car, with more than 100 parking spaces, urban buses, metro and tram. The beach has assisted bathing, adapted toilets and showers, food, a sports area, public Wi-Fi and lockers.
