What it is like
Playa de L'Espigó is a central 600-metre beach made up of pebbles and gravel and protected by breakwaters that keep its waters calm. Its urban frontage, high visitor numbers and width of 25 metres define a coastal space fully integrated into Altea. Access is easy on foot or by car from the N-332, with more than 100 parking spaces and urban buses. It has a seafront promenade, toilets, foot-washing showers, food services, sun-lounger hire and adapted access, as well as lifeguard and first-aid services.
