What it is like
Playa d'Aro, also known as Platja Gran or Platja Llarga, is the large urban and tourist beach of Castell-Platja d'Aro. Its 2,265 metres of length and 70 metres of width form an extensive strip of golden sand, accompanied by a seafront promenade, vegetation and an urban frontage. The swell is usually moderate, although there may be wind. It is easily reached on foot, by car or by boat, with more than 100 parking spaces, and facilities include food establishments, water-sports hire, sports areas and children's play areas.
