What it is like
Playa Castelete is an isolated sandy beach 200 metres long and 10 metres wide, defined by golden sand, vegetation and a coastal frontage of dunes. Its calm waters and low visitor numbers reinforce the sense of a little-frequented stretch, consistent with the absence of infrastructure and visitor services. It can be easily reached on foot or by car from the CC-550 road, with an interurban bus connection to Vilagarcía and Illa de Arousa. Cleaning is listed as the only specific beach service, with Marina Vilagarcía as the nautical reference.
