Although its name refers to a small beach, Playa Capellans offers an urban beach of coarse golden sand reaching 1,200 metres in length and an average width of 55 metres. The gentle slope, calm waters and seafront promenade define a very busy frontage in Salou, with an area reserved for water sports and anchorage. Access is easy on foot or by car, although available parking is limited to fewer than 50 spaces; there is also an interurban bus service. It has adapted toilets, showers, catering and hire of sun loungers, parasols and boats.
