What it is like

Characteristics published by official sources

Playa Cadavedo, also known as La Ribeirona, has a recognisable shell shape at the foot of a mountainous frontage. Its 440 metres combine dark sand and rounded stones, with an average width of 45 metres, and form part of the Paisaje Protegido de la Costa Occidental, also designated a ZEPA and Site of Community Importance (SCI). It is a semi-urban beach with vegetation, moderate swell and windy conditions, usually very busy in summer. Access is easy on foot or by car from the N-632; it has parking for between 50 and 100 vehicles and a recreational area.
